so it was an uphill battle of course but governor brown took the leadership to really push that prop 30 forward so the people of california have spoken. thank goodness. i hope that members of congress really understand that this is -- it is, bill, very similar to what happened. >> bill: yeah, it was a combination -- he didn't use all of the same rhetoric of president obama, the combination of spending cuts and tax increases and new revenue right? which has got to be the solution. >> absolutely. i think what we have to be careful of is that these cuts are proper cuts that they don't create havoc in the lives of the most vulnerable and low income individuals. >> bill: that's what i wanted to ask you about. do we know where these cuts would hit and who would be hardest hit by them? >> well, of course, across-the-board cuts, sequestration takes place, which of course, i could not support we're going to see this 8% to 10% cut across the board. so you're going to see children's programs cut. you're going to see other cuts, some terrible, terrible cuts take place. that people really cannot
